MotoGP Thriller Ends with Marquez on Top | Riders Domain Magazine July 2018

Marquez and LCR Honda’s Cal Crutchlow went one two off the start, but soon had Ducati’s Jorge Lorenzo to deal with, Lorenzo rocketing up from 10th on the grid to steal second position from Crutchlow within the opening turns. His teammate, Andrea Dovizioso, moved up to third and Vinales’ teammate Valentino Rossi got in the mix also…”

“…The fight for the title might not be all that interesting on paper, with Marquez enjoying a sizable lead at this point. But the fight at Assen surpasses all that in my opinion. It was absolutely breathtaking. And even if Marquez goes on to take the crown a few races ahead of time this year, 2018 already stands as one of the best MotoGP seasons in the modern era…”
